This includes a variety of dance styles including Jazz, Street, Hip-Hop & Modern. Classical dance includes I.S.T.D syllabus, whilst Musical Theatre covers Cabaret, Audition Technique & Performance Work. Pupils are taught the freedom of movement and expression using various techniques and importantly posture, poise and confidence.
Musical Theatre
These classes are aimed at performance work and show rehearsals, however students also learn how to sing, dance and act all at the same time - a great preparation for when they hit the stage!
Acting
The aim of Acting is to provide students with all the skills they need to become confident individuals. Students will cover all the principles of drama, including rehearsal and performance techniques. The classes are designed to build confidence and give students an understanding of dialogue, as well as create awareness of physicality. The acting class will include improvisation, text work, mime, acting for TV and film and stage combat. Students may also be entered for the LAMDA examinations.
Vocal Coaching
Group classes and occasional solo work for performances. Pupils will learn to warm up their voices professionally, breathing techniques, vocal harmonies and a variety of styles from West End Musicals, R&B and Pop. Students will also learn to work confidently with microphones and Audition Technique.
