ISTD Ballet Classes
Imperial Classical Ballet stems from the early days of the ISTD and was based on the teaching of the French School from the Paris Opéra. The syllabus has now evolved to promote the English classical style and has constantly been updated.
Ballet is the foundation of all dance and it is highly recommended that pupils continue with ballet for as long as possible to help them reach their full potential in dance overall.
Pre-Primary is an ISTD syllabus designed for children aged four to five. The Primary class leads to an in-house assessment and successful pupils are awarded a certificate and medal before moving up to the Grade 1 Ballet Class. From then on the formal ISTD examinations are offered.
